A familiar face in the heart of Paulding County, Mike Hyden’s journey is a testament to dedication, growth, and community spirit. Born in Greenville, SC, Mike and his family became proud residents of Georgia in 1988, where he embarked on his educational journey through McGarity Elementary, East Paulding Middle, and East Paulding High, ultimately graduating in 2000.
For over two decades, Mike immersed himself in the restaurant industry, gaining invaluable experience since 1998. However, in November 2020, he decided to pivot and transitioned into a new venture. January 2021 marked the inception of MDH Services, Mike’s transportation company specializing in exclusive hauling for a concrete subcontractor. Focused on multi-family apartments, renovations, and high-profile commercial projects, Mike’s company experienced remarkable growth. From a single truck in January 2021, MDH Services closed 2023 with an impressive fleet, employing 5 full-time drivers and a skilled mechanic.
Beyond entrepreneurship, Mike finds strength and purpose in his family. Married to Jennifer since 2010, they share a home in north Paulding with their two beautiful children, Braydon and Amry. Family extends beyond their household, as Mike actively participates in Creekside Church, where he serves on the worship team and holds various leadership roles.
Mike’s commitment to community service is exemplified through his role as a commission member of Keep Paulding Beautiful, a non-profit dedicated to promoting a clean and healthy environment for Paulding citizens to live, work, and play. With a rich history spanning over 50 years, this organization has collectively raised over one million dollars, directing support to local nonprofits and addressing crucial needs in Paulding County.
