Imagine a world without schools and colleges! Impossible, right? No matter how much we hate waking up early for school or studying all night for those tests and exams, we all know that education is very important.
For most of us, from the time we are young children to the when we become adults, school defines our days and creates structure in our lives. School is where we are presented with problems and discover how to solve them. It’s where we become literate and knowledgeable about the world. It’s where we learn to take responsibility for doing homework, and gain a feeling of accomplishment through completing it. As we grow up, school is where we are encouraged to develop our mind, take part in our community, and prepare for our future.
Because school is so prominent in our lives, it has an enormous influence on our self-esteem—the extent to which we see ourselves as capable, smart, hard-working, likeable people.
Now, we are not saying that an uneducated man has no chance of being successful or an educated man will surely do well in life. Exceptions are always there. However most of us will agree that an educated person gets better opportunities in life. It is easier for him to become successful and realize his dreams as compared to someone who is uneducated.
